Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe it’s 2018 already? 2017 went so fast, but was a great year nonetheless. I gained so many more of you guys, met some pretty amazing people and I had good health!

What a better way to embrace the New Year than to talk about the new Missguided Campaign #makeyourmark. For those of you who haven’t seen it, Missguided have taken everyday ‘normal’ women and chucked them into a photoshoot. Women from different backgrounds, with different shapes, different skins tones and different stories and it honestly couldn’t get more beautiful.

I tell you guys a lot to love yourselves. But I know more than anymore how easy that is to say, but hard to actually do. When Missguided created this campaign, I honestly cried. To see such beautiful women being celebrated because of their individual flaws is so magical and is something every company should be doing. Too often we have this image of thin, pore-less women in a Vogue magazine and it has totally ruined some of the younger generations mentality of what is beautiful. And finally we have a true representation of what women actually look like.

Missguided say that they are “On a mission to inspire babes […] to love themselves, for themselves” and I don’t think this message could get any better. They also say “Because f*ck perfection, it doesn’t exist”. Amen.

Because girls, beautiful isn’t dedicated to one body shape. It’s not restricted to one skin tone. It’s not defined by one race. Beautiful is every single women out there, from young to old. Beautiful is stretch marks and scars. Beautiful is freckles and moles. Beautiful is you.

A huge huge thank you to Missguided for creating and exploring this #makeyourmark. It’s so important that we embrace women and all that we have achieved. Lady’s let’s start the new year off with a bang, and go and make our mark!!
